Heading Home

Yesterday we were in St. Lucia. It was clear and very warm. Cindy did a little shopping and I spent time working on some of the photos that we had taken. During the night we followed a northwesterly course along the Leeward Islands and arrived at our destination, St. Barthelemy at about 7:30am. But, the swells were very high preventing the tender operation to the shore. The Captain said that he had contacted St. Martin’s harbor master, but they did not have an open berth and the swells there were equally as high. So, we are now en route directly back to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. We will arrive in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday and spend the night prior to flying back to Las Vegas.


Last night we all celebrated Cindy’s birthday. One of the Head Waiters and some of the waiters led the singing. Of course our friend Sultan placed our table number 29 next to the cake trying to convince everyone that this was Cindy’s age!

Our friend Lou wanted everyone to see how much chicken she eats every night!!!!!!!!!!

Overall the past 48 days at sea and on the Amazon River have been great. We’ve got to get home and get ready for our next cruise, roundtrip Los Angeles/Fort Lauderdale—Panama Canal voyage onboard the Coral Princess. This will be the last Post for this Blog. We will probably do another Blog from the Coral Princess. Will send everyone an invitation to the Blog prior to sailing.
